Ultrasound Diagnostics
Our ultrasound division today has two roots: AUROSAN's service engineering business and the merger with HMT Herrmann Medizintechnik in Radebeul. As part of the business succession from Bernd Herrmann to Dr. med. Michael Delfs, HMT was merged with AUROSAN in November 2024. Operating together as AUROSAN GmbH HMT Sonozentren, we now offer consulting, sales and technical service for ultrasound systems at all our locations – from compact systems for general practice to complex fusion systems for interventional ultrasound and cardiology, and large shared-service machines for emergency practices, medical care centres (MVZ) and hospitals.

Thanks to our direct cooperation with 6 manufacturers (Esaote, SIUI, Siemens, Philips, SonoScape and Youkey), we can select systems that match your needs and requirements – from premium cart-based systems to pocket-sized handhelds, from classics with an established manual workflow to AI-powered high-tech machines with many automatic measurement functions and upgrade options for the future.
Testing at one of our branches or on your premises & trial placement:
Our branches have showrooms where, on request, we present suitable devices and you can test them.
Alternatively, we can also come to you with several devices, although we prefer your visit to us. Testing regularly reveals additional requirements, which we can then address more easily and usually straight away.
Once you have found a system, it can either stay with you directly for a trial, or we deliver it to you at short notice. This way, a later purchase decision is based on reliable live testing in everyday patient care rather than on a snapshot.
As standard, we offer purchase or rental, arrange leasing and advise on funding programmes known to us. Wherever possible, we prepare total cost estimates and billing proposals.
In addition to device training, connection to your practice management system where required and documentation for the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KV), our services also include an optional service contract that gives you favourable terms for regular inspections and constancy tests later on.
Continuous training as a principle and as an offer.
In times of scarce resources and rapidly changing technologies, we too must keep learning. Over the years, this has developed into a CME training programme that may serve one person as an ultrasound refresher, another as an introduction to the digital practice and a third as support when setting up a practice:
- We regularly organise our own events (1:1 training, courses with external tutors, (online) seminars and practical workshops).
- We also take part in events organised by others, such as medical congresses and trade fairs or regional quality circles.
- Where our ultrasound courses include practical exercises, these are led by speakers from hospitals or medical practices and supported by our ultrasound application specialists.
For our courses, we usually apply for CME points from the relevant medical association.

More than just ultrasound:
Through the alliance of AUROSAN, Rösch, HKT and HMT, we draw on extensive expertise in supporting various specialist groups: from AEDs, audiometers, bacteriology, EEG, ECG, catheters, laboratory, microscopes, vision screeners and urofusion to counting chambers and much more, we are your reliable industry partner – not only online, but in person and with advice. Our focus is neither on chatbots nor on logistics centres, but on personal conversation as the basis for long-term cooperation.
Used systems and spare parts, replacement probes, etc.:
We regularly take back devices from leasing or rental, or can offer demo systems at particularly favourable prices. We often have spare parts and replacement probes in stock or can source them cost-effectively through our network.
Manufacturer-level expertise and service – from initial consultation to regular technical service including all DGUV V3 tests, safety checks (STK), metrological checks (MTK), maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and repairs:
We are a registered medical technology maintenance service and are also prequalified for authorities and public institutions. We are a qualified service partner for our ultrasound manufacturers.
Whether a small practice or a large hospital – with our team of highly qualified service technicians, who work closely with our customer service and sales team, we can provide comprehensive technical support and keep your equipment safe and in good condition.
